The HPE Aruba JL486A is a high-performance optical transceiver designed for 25-Gigabit Ethernet (25 GbE) connectivity over single-mode fiber (SMF). As a 25GBASE-LR SFP28 module, it supports data rates of up to 25 Gbps and uses a 1310 nm laser to reach distances of 10 km or more on SMF, making it perfect for data center uplinks, aggregation links, and enterprise backbone fiber runs.
This module uses an LC duplex connector and adheres to the Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) for SFP28. It supports Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) for real-time diagnostics of temperature, power, and optical performance. With hot-swappable form factor and excellent interoperability, the JL486A integrates seamlessly with HPE/Aruba switches and other compatible networking platforms.
